Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning

In the adventurous satire “Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning,” Captain James B. Pirk and his crew find themselves marooned on 21st century Earth after their starship, Kickstart, crashes. Hailing from a distant future, they originally journeyed back in time with the noble mission of saving Earth from aggressive alien forces, but were left stranded without their vessel. Now, Pirk spends his days indulging at a local fast food joint, struggling to convince women that he is, in fact, a future space hero. With humanity’s dreams of conquering the cosmos appearing ever more dismal, Pirk devises an ambitious and morally ambiguous scheme to alter the course of human fate.
