Strike One

In the film *Strike One (2014)*, we follow Juan Garcia, a young boy poised to enter adulthood in a neighborhood dominated by gang activity. Struggling to choose between two vastly different role models, he admires his older sister Angie, a single mother striving to succeed in the corporate world, while also looking up to his uncle Manny, an ex-gang member turned actor since his release from prison. As Juan approaches a pivotal moment in his life, he remains preoccupied with typical teenage concerns like girls, blissfully ignorant of the harsh realities awaiting those associated with gangs.
