Sunset Strip

Set over a single day in Hollywood in 1972, the storyline follows a group of ambitious young individuals on a quest for life-altering moments. Zach, a musician gearing up to perform as the opening act for a British rocker at the iconic Whisky a Go-Go, resides in a canyon and frequently engages in spontaneous musical duets with an unseen, enigmatic guitarist. Tammy, a costume designer, is renowned for her casual flings with various rock stars, while Michael, a photographer on the mend from a health scare, harbors unrequited affection for her. Michael’s confidant is Felix, a somber and heavy-drinking songwriter. Adding a humorous twist to the narrative is Marty Shapiro, a quick-witted record producer. As Zach prepares for his club gig, the film unfolds with a captivating story, lasting through the aftermath of dawn. Sunset Strip (2000) offers a nostalgic trip into a transformative era.
