The Ambassador

This darkly comedic and genre-defying film, crafted by international provocateur Mads Brügger, who previously directed the Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner *Red Chapel*, delves into the entrenched world of political corruption and exploitation in the perilous realm of the Central African Republic. With a suite of hidden cameras, illicit diplomatic credentials, and sharp wit, Brügger morphs into an extravagant parody of a European-African consul. As he navigates the treacherous world filled with corrupt officials, he uncovers blood diamond smuggling, bribery, and even murder, all while delivering biting humor at every turn. Moving from one absurdly dangerous yet hilariously bizarre scenario to another, *The Ambassador* is a unique journey from the filmmaker dubbed by The Huffington Post as “the most provocative filmmaker in the world.” The Ambassador (2011) is available to stream here. You can watch it online for free now on cineby or 123Movies.
