The Amusement Park

An elderly man anticipates an ordinary day at an amusement park but quickly finds himself caught in a nightmarish experience. Although it was created in 1973, “The Amusement Park” faced shelving because its commissioning body, the Lutheran Society, rejected it due to its unsettling themes concerning elder abuse and ageism. Rediscovered in 2018 and beautifully restored in 4K by IndieCollect, this chilling film saw its premiere in 2019, marking an important posthumous release for George A. Romero.
