The Assault

On December 24th, 1994, an Air France A300 Airbus at the Algiers airport is seized by four GIA terrorists. With 227 passengers aboard, tensions are high as their true motives remain uncertain, though it is clear they are well-armed and resolute in their demands for the release of fellow militants. The situation escalates with the terrorists insisting on the immediate departure of the plane, which occurs only after prolonged and intense negotiations between French and Algerian officials. Central to this gripping ordeal are three pivotal figures: a resilient GIGN operative, Carole Jeanton, an opportunistic technocrat seeking personal advancement, and Yahia Abdallah, a driven jihadist influenced by the shadowy GIA messenger, Ali Touchent.
