The Critic

Jimmy Erskine dominates the world of theatre criticism, writing with the same flamboyance that characterizes his lavish lifestyle, and relishing in tearing apart any actor who falls short of his high standards. However, his secure position is jeopardized when the son of the Daily Chronicle’s deceased owner, David Brooke, assumes control, instantly clashing with Jimmy. Determined to maintain his cherished power and influence, Jimmy enters a Faustian pact with struggling actress Nina Land, ensnaring himself, Nina, and Brooke in an intense saga of passion, extortion, and treachery.
