The Goodbye Girl

In “The Goodbye Girl,” we follow the life of Paula McFadden, a dancer approaching the end of her career at the age of 36. Her beloved actor boyfriend, Tony DeSanti, lands a role in a European film and instead of bringing Paula to Hollywood, he sublets their shared New York apartment to Elliot Garfield. Elliot, showing unexpected kindness, allows Paula and her pragmatic young daughter, Lucy, to stay, even letting them keep the master bedroom. While Lucy quickly warms up to Elliot’s charm, Paula remains resolute in her dislike for all actors. Despite the added pressure of preparing for an unconventional Shakespearean lead on Broadway, Elliot is determined to win over Paula’s affection. Watch the heartfelt story unfold right here.
