The House on the Witchpit

Before its debut at Horror-on-Sea in 2016, “The House on the Witchpit” remained shrouded in mystery, with writer/director Pat Higgins keeping all details, including the plot, cast, and even a trailer, completely under wraps. Intriguingly, following the sold-out premiere, Higgins took an unexpected step by destroying both the master copy and the only backup in a dramatic public display, ensuring that version of the film ceased to exist. The film’s mystique was briefly rekindled when a new version made a fleeting appearance, available for rent on Vimeo On Demand for one day on Halloween 2017.
