The Last Ones

In the stark wilderness of the Lapland tundra, a young miner named Rupi ekes out a living through illicit drug dealing, heavy drinking, and gambling at slot machines. Following the murder of a close friend, Rupi discovers his affection for the bereaved widow, only to find he’s not the sole contender for her affections due to the mine owner’s similar intentions. The harshness of their environment turns violence into a spectacle, transforms tragedy into dark comedy, and highlights the fleeting nature of hope, which shines like a meteoric flash across the sky.
