The Lost World of Mr. Hardy

Jim Hardy, affectionately known as ‘Mister Jim’ by his employees, was the final member of the Hardy family to be actively involved in their long-established business before retiring. This family legacy was initiated by his Grandfather and Greatuncle back in 1873 when they set up a modest shop in northern England. As passionate anglers themselves, they crafted innovative fishing gear and began offering it for sale. Their exceptional craftsmanship, commitment, and pioneering marketing efforts enabled them to achieve global recognition. For over 130 years, the name Hardy’s has been a hallmark in the angling community. Whether owned by royalty like Prince Charles or coveted by collectors, Hardy’s hand-crafted tackle pieces remain treasured artifacts. While the company continues to operate, the art of creating handmade fishing equipment is sadly dwindling. The Lost World of Mr. Hardy (2009) is available for streaming online here, and you can watch the movie for free. Don’t miss the chance to dive into this unique story on cineby and 123Movies.
