The Midnight Meat Train

Photographer Leon lives with his girlfriend, Maya, who works as a waitress, hoping to break into the photography industry. When Maya reaches out to their friend Jurgis, he manages to arrange a meeting for Leon with Susan Hoff, the successful owner of an art gallery. Susan reviews Leon’s portfolio and encourages him to enhance the quality of his work. One night, a frustrated Leon roams the streets, capturing images with his camera, and follows a group of punks to the subway. When the group assaults a young woman, Leon intervenes, causing them to leave. The next day, Leon learns the woman has gone missing. Despite approaching the police, Detective Lynn Hadley dismisses his concerns. Driven by an obsession, Leon starts watching the subway station vigilantly. One fateful encounter with the dapper butcher Mahogany on the train convinces Leon that Mahogany may be a killer, leading him into a chilling descent into darkness. “The Midnight Meat Train (2008)” is available to watch here.
