The People vs. Agent Orange

The devastation caused by Agent Orange didn’t conclude with the Vietnam War. In contemporary times, this toxic substance’s main ingredient is widely used for managing weeds across agriculture, forestry, parks, and even playgrounds globally. This chemical has a catastrophic impact on the human genome, leading to birth deformities and life-threatening cancers. Despite enduring years of struggle and personal losses, two courageous women spearhead a global initiative to eradicate this scourge and bring those accountable to justice. In France, Tran To Nga is pursuing legal action against American chemical companies for poisoning her family in Vietnam. Meanwhile, in the U.S., Carol Van Strum uncovers the ongoing use of hazardous herbicides. Important documents vanish, and activists along with their children face threats and death. A helicopter technician captures the contamination of water reservoirs on film while a large-scale industrial cover-up persists.
