The Pier

After two decades of estrangement, Larry McCarthy feigns a terminal illness to lure his son, Jack, back to Ireland from America. Jack arrives, only to find his father alive and well, and is even more infuriated when he realizes he’s unable to depart. The two are soon faced with navigating their unresolved past, especially Larry’s refusal to acknowledge the death of Jack’s mother. The plot delves into the painful yet often comical attempts at communication between father and son.
