The Republic of Rick

Rick Launer, the self-proclaimed Ambassador of the Republic of Texas club, fills his days participating in Alamo reenactments and demanding US mailmen vacate Texas territory. However, after pushing the boundaries too far, he finds himself incarcerated and expelled from his cherished club. Released on bail and wanted by authorities, Rick cleverly enlists a band of paranoid misfits to shield him from the perceived threats of a “tyrannical government.” As media attention turns towards his antics, he faces the challenge of understanding true leadership amid a contemporary Alamo televised for the nation.
