The Sunset Limited

Adapted from Cormac McCarthy’s acclaimed play, “The Sunset Limited” is a gripping, two-person drama that blends wit and poignancy as it delves into the bond between two strangers drawn together by desperate circumstances. Set within a New York tenement apartment, the narrative centers on two men from vastly different worlds: a deeply spiritual black ex-convict who saves an isolated white college professor from a suicide attempt by intercepting him on the subway tracks of ‘The Sunset Limited.’ While one man seeks to connect on a rational, spiritual, and emotional level, the other clings to his deeply rooted desolation. Engaged in an intense philosophical dialogue, they each fervently champion their own beliefs, hoping to sway the other. Stream “The Sunset Limited (2011)” online now.
