The Tender Bar

J.R. is a young boy without a father, spending his formative years in the welcoming atmosphere of a bar, where his Uncle Charlie, the bartender, stands out as the most vibrant of a variety of eccentric and expressive male influences. His devoted mother is working hard to open doors for him that she never had access to, all while planning to escape her father’s run-down home, which, despite his begrudging support, she’s determined to leave behind. As J.R. adventures toward his aspirations in love and work, he remains deeply connected to the nurturing environment of Uncle Charlie’s bar. Watch The Tender Bar streaming online for free.
