The Theatre Bizarre

In a rundown part of town, young Enola Penny becomes fascinated with a seemingly abandoned theater. Intrigued, she ventures inside one night, finding the door invitingly ajar. Inside the dark, decaying auditorium, a nightmarish show unfolds before her, hosted by Peg Poett, a sinister puppet who unveils six strange tales. The stories include an encounter with a bewitching sorceress in the isolated French Pyrenees, a lover driven to madness, and an adulterous man whose Freudian nightmares blur his grasp on reality. Other tales explore the dark interpretations of a child’s mind, a woman’s addiction to others’ memories through the vitreous humor of their eyes, and a sweet-tasting romance that sours dangerously.
