The Wishing Tree

In the picturesque setting of a prestigious boarding school in Maine, Professor Evan Farnsworth, a dedicated widower, devotes himself to inspiring his students to have faith in themselves. During the Christmas break, he takes on the responsibility of teaching the remaining students, among them Juliet, a bright scholarship recipient, Albert, a socially awkward geek, and Drew, a rebellious youngster from a wealthy family. When Drew, frustrated by being left behind by his affluent parents for a ski getaway in Paris, vents his feelings on the town’s cherished Wishing Tree—a sacred tree adorned with heartfelt holiday wishes—trouble brews. This tree is not only a beloved town tradition but also an important fundraiser for families in need, relying on contributions from those making their wishes. As Drew’s actions jeopardize Professor Farnsworth’s career, the collective efforts of the town and the magical influence of the Wishing Tree reveal that miracles can indeed happen.
