Tough Guys

In “Tough Guys” (1986), Harry Doyle and Archie Lang, two seasoned train robbers, find themselves adjusting to life after spending three decades behind bars for a heist they pulled off in 1956. Once freed, they discover their old spark remains when they thwart a bank robbery while cashing their prison checks. As Archie, who’s kept fit during his sentence, grabs the attention of a young aerobics instructor, Harry finds himself confined to the monotonous life of a nursing home. While Archie copes with the indignity of a job as a busboy, Harry struggles with the condescending attitudes toward the elderly. Reuniting, the duo opts to return to their roots, pulling off a successful armored car heist and setting their sights on repeating the train robbery that initially landed them in prison decades ago.
