Trapped

Between 2011 and 2013, a wave of regulations was enacted in the United States, making it significantly more difficult to access abortion services. Known as “TRAP” laws—Targeted Regulations of Abortion Providers—these rules spread rapidly, particularly in the Southern states, and put many clinics into a fierce struggle to continue their operations. On the frontlines of this battle to maintain women’s reproductive rights are determined doctors, clinic operators, and dedicated staff who refuse to back down. “Trapped” weaves together the compelling personal tales of a fearless doctor who traverses the nation to ensure medical services remain accessible, along with the steadfast individuals running these clinics and the attorneys fighting to dismantle these laws, all aimed at helping the women who rely on them. Trapped (2016) is a must-watch.
