Waiting

Before moving abroad, Ahmad takes on one final task: auditioning actors for the future National Palestinian Theatre. Accompanied by interviewer Bissan and cameraman Loumir, he travels through refugee camps in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, in search of hidden talent. While doing so, Ahmad is forced to confront the relentless hardships of life in Palestine, including intimidating checkpoint searches, roadblocks, and constant unrest. He begins to see the parallels between his journey and the lives of refugees, ultimately guiding the actors to portray stories that reflect their shared experiences. As he approaches the moment of his long-planned departure, Ahmad faces the dilemma of potentially missing his flight and the chance for his long-sought-after escape.
