Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale – Part 1: The Sun Flag

Mouna Rudo grew up among Taiwan’s Seediq people, an indigenous tribe. As he matured, he joined the Seediq Bale, a brave group of native fighters. The occupation by Japanese forces in 1895, however, threatens Rudo’s traditional lifestyle. Witnessing the erosion of his people’s customs and dignity, Rudo decides it’s time to resist. In 1930, he unites former Seediq Bale warriors, reshaping them from disunity into a formidable revolutionary force. They make their stand by confronting Japanese troops during an athletic event, sparking a fierce clash between Seediq resistance and their occupiers.
