When Pigs Have Wings

After a storm, fishermen sometimes discover more than just fish in their nets. This is the predicament faced by Jafaar, an impoverished fisherman residing in Gaza, who unexpectedly catches a pig, an animal considered unclean by both the Islamic and Jewish faiths. Determined to get rid of this unwelcome catch, Jafaar makes several attempts to sell it. He first approaches a United Nations official and then a Jewish settlement, where Yelena raises pigs not for consumption but for security purposes. Navigating through these challenges while trying to keep a low profile amongst his Palestinian peers, past Israeli soldiers, and under the watchful eyes of Islamic extremists, Jafaar finds himself caught in a series of escapades.
