Zivot je zivot

Meticulous police officer Frantisek, played by Ondrej Vetchý, strives to raise his three daughters with discipline, hoping they will find successful partners. Contrary to his wishes, his daughters have a knack for choosing exactly the wrong partners. One is always attempting to conceive, another is tangled with exotic mismatches, and the third is pregnant with an unknown father. Frantisek and his wife, portrayed by Simona Stasová, usually vacation by a nearby lake, although she yearns for the seaside. During one such holiday, she encounters a free-spirited writer with a hint of melancholy, played by Miroslav Táborský, while an appealing Spanish colleague, Kristína Peláková, enters Frantisek’s professional life, setting events in motion.
